Testimonials

Izzy & Sophie from The Wirral.

"Jo has been absolutely brilliant. Her guidance and support throughout my rollercoaster journey with my dog, Izzy who was diagnosed with kidney disease, has been invaluable. It's been incredibly hard watching my best friend go through this, but Jo has been there every step of the way - helping me to understand vet results, adapt recipes, and make ongoing changes to support Izzy's needs. Kidney disease can be so unpredictable, yet Jo's compassion, knowledge and reassurance have made such a difference to both of us. I cant thank her enough."

Daisy & Rona from Cocker Mouth.

I was ready to hand Daisy over to the Dogs Trust, she was unmanageable. She didn't respect me and she wasn't a happy dog.

I was feeling desperate, i didn't want to lose Daisy but didn’t know how to change her behaviour around. Since working with Jo she has gone from one end of the spectrum to the other. She is a much happier dog.

The noticeable improvements have been no growling or snapping, always now ready for a walk, willingly lets me put her lead on. Interacts with me, she will settle herself in her bed , listens more to my commands and acts on them.

Working with Jo has been thought provoking. She came highly recommended but i was rather sceptical. Liked the fact she was patient with me, answered my question patiently.

If you are reading this and are considering working with Jo, I'd say just go for it and trust her. There is everything to gain and nothing to lose.

The dogs kitchen helped Morris, a Jack Russel Terrier diagnosed with cancer and kidney disease.

Ceris & Morris - From North Wales.

Jo at The Dogs Kitchen has been a huge help and support in designing a diet for my 14yr old Jack Russell, Morris, who, sadly, has been diagnosed with cancer of the gallbladder.
I realised that the commercial dog food that I was feeding him, at the time; would not be sufficient to see him through his journey over the coming months so I contacted Jo to see what she thought was the best way forward.
In a very short time and after consulting with my vets Jo came up with a diet based on home cooked fresh foods with added supplements to best support Morris over the coming months.
The home cooked meals have been a great success with Morris and he continues to maintain his weight, his coat is in good condition and he continues to enjoy his walks and playing in the garden. Long may this continue.🤞
Jo is so knowledgeable and reassuring that I would certainly recommend her services to anyone who wants to improve the quality of their dog’s life through a well balanced and healthy diet specific to their dog’s needs.

Luna a collie cross with a sensitive gut and a histamine clearance issue.

Sandra & Luna - From Blackburn.

I met Jo by chance during some zoopharmacognosy training sessions. She reached out to me when she heard about my dog Luna. Luna has suffered with skin issues for over 3 years now and I have tried many different things to try and understand what causes her to nibble and scratch herself to the point where she nibbles her fur off her legs and belly 😔
When I met Jo I was pulling my hair out with frustration (just like Luna) as nothing seemed to help my girl.
Over the last 5 months Jo has been by my side. She has formulated diet plans and suggested things that will help my sensitive girl. Jo is always happy to deal with any question or query in a caring and non- judgemental manner. Jo has happily tweaked diet plans when things haven't worked as planned and I feel that I now have a better understanding of what the problem is.
A recent biome gut test has brought to light what is happening in Luna's gut and although its not going to be a quick fix I know Jo is there to help me. I would definitely recommend Jo if anyone needs any diet support for their dogs. Thanks Jo ☺

The dogs kitchen helped Pippin, a Jack Russel Terrier with gut issues via an online consultation.

Pippin & Ros - From South London.

"I first approached Jo and the Dogs’ Kitchen for help with my puppy, who periodically had stomach issues.

We worked on a variety of affordable and adaptable homemade solutions to use as part of my dog’s regular feeding routine her stomach issues have really settled down and the toppers are perfect to freeze in enrichment feeding bowls providing mental stimulation as well as more nutritious meal times.

Jo is very thorough in her consultations and takes into account the owner’s circumstances to put forward the most cost effective solution that meets the dog ‘s fundamental needs.

I have not hesitated to suggesting her services to friends as she provides remote consultations - fully flexible to her clients’ needs."

Toby Jo's anxiety was supported by zoopharmacognosy offereing essential oils and botanicals

Toby Jo & Maggie - From Essex.

Toby Jo was rescued from Ireland and had been in and out of kennels so I assumed he would have a few issues that I was not aware of. We had only had him approximately 6 months prior to having a fire at our home and had been put in 14 airbnbs in 4 months which had unsettled him greatly to the extent that he had started picking and fighting with our 2 original bitches - so much so it was debatable whether we would have to send him back to the rescue centre. It’s now 10 months since the fire and are still not back in our home but a little more settled now in a rental property After the session both Toby Jo and I slept all afternoon which is very unusual

I now offer Toby Jo the oils and botanicals regularly as I think it’s amazing how they know what they require, how much and when.  He is much more aware of me.  The explanations and knowledge that were given were really valuable,

Q: Would you recommend Zoopharmacognosy to other pet parents and  how do you think it helps?

A: Yes already have as it blew my mind. The understanding of the companion animal together with the closeness and earning trust from each other.

Lynette & Marley from Dorchester

"I approached Jo to help with our Vizsla's digestive problems, He was having interesting motions! Jo looked at what we'd been feeding him and it turns out it wasn't the right balance for him.  He had too much of some things and not enough of others.

Jo put together a diet plan and we tried it out for a few weeks and what a difference it made! Our boys motions are finally back to normal and he actually seems calmer in himself since the new diet too!.

I've recommended Jo to a number of people and they have also been extremely happy with the results for their dogs. Jo really knows her stuff and is supportive throughout it all. I will always recommend her to people that need nutritional help with their dogs,"
